This lunchbox from the 1930s may be the rarest and most valuable Mickey Mouse collectible of its type.

The top of the box shows Mickey walking to school with his reader book in his right hand and lunch kit in his left hand.

The top of the box is closed by two metal clasps which swing away from the box when open.

The inside of the box is plain tin. Nothing fancy about this 1930s box inside.

One side of the lunch kit features Clara Cluck and Clarabelle the cow.

The other side of the box has Mickey Mouse, Pluto and other Silly Symphony characters.

On one end we see Minnie Mouse in a polka dot dress holding a sun umbrella with Horace Horsecollar behind her.

The other end has a picture of Goofy.

Value and Pricing: Pricing is hard because this lunch box rarely becomes available. You cannot pass on one assuming another will be quickly available. We saw the 1930s Mickey Mouse tin lunch kit in the condition shown above sell for $1495.

Adco Liberty Manufacturing released this metal Mickey Mouse lunchbox in 1954.

This lunch box is nearly impossible to find in excellent condition. A collector is fortunate if they can find one complete, with thermos, in good condition.

Yep, kids played with these hard.

On one side of the box an oblivious Donald Duck is sitting down for a picnic with Huey, Dewey and Louie.

Donald is brandishing a red napkin before eating, unaware he is enraging an oncoming bull.

Huey, Dewey and Louie are quickly scampering out of the way.

On the other side of the lunch box Pluto is carrying Huey, Dewey and Louie to school in a wagon.

On the side of the wagon they have written "school bus".

Behind them Mickey Mouse is running and trying to catch-up.

Pricing and Value: We have seen the 1954 Adco Mickey Mouse lunchbox sell for upwards of $850.

What fun!

This bright yellow metal lunchbox from the 1960s is shaped like a school bus.

It comes with a matching thermos.

On one side Mickey and Pluto are seeing various Disney characters off to school. It looks like Goofy is driving the bus.

In the back of the bus we can see Huey, Dewey and Louie.

In the front of the bus it does not look like Goofy is paying attention to where he is driving.

The bottom of this lunchbox is very cool. It looks like an actual vehicle.

Usually, the bottom is plain, but extra care went into this design.

The top of the bus has a yellow handle for carrying.

Pricing and Value: We have seen the Walt Disney Lunch Box with Thermos, in good condition, sell for $125.




Mickey Mouse Blue Sky Buddies Lunch Box

Based on the old classic metal lunch box called Blue Sky Buddies (the original metal box is shown in the picture), now there is a new zippered model is fully insulated. It features Mickey and Pluto flying high in a very colorful plane. The number 28 and the Mickey Flight Academy are referenced on the front.
