The Seiko model for these watches is the the Sports 50. Gold plated with a quartz movement, the Starburst is one of the more popular Seiko watches.

Mickey is shown on an alternating color field. Instead of numbers for hours, there are starts and circles.

Although not always available, you can probably find a better deal:

Seiko Ceramic Mickey Mouse Watch 7002

(see a larger picture here)

This popular watch is the men's Seiko Automatic Scuba Diver's Watch with a Mickey Mouse figure. The base model is the 7002-7001 A1, dating originally from the early 1990s.

The custom 'Mickey Mouse' Dial has a very distinctive 'Military Green' color. The watch also has a green ceramic 'Submariner' Bezel Insert.

The watch also has a 'Quickset' Date window.

The Dial/Hands are in the classic '7002' style, but with an unusual 'Military Green', and featuring a very 'retro' representation of everybody's favourite mouse.

The Dial is signed 'SEIKO, Automatic' to the left of center, 'Made In Japan, 7002 700L R, Lightning Flash Symbol' is at six o'clock. Baton markers (with an applied luminous finish) instead of numbers, larger at six and nine, and a larger inverted Arrowhead at twelve. There is a 'Quickset' Date window at three o'clock. Minute markers run around the raised outer Chapter Ring, which is color-matched to the dial, and set at an angle, which adds an impression of extra depth to the watch.

The hands are lume-filled steel, in the classic '7002' style - an 'Arrowhead' minute hand, a 'Broadsword' hour hand, while the Seconds hand is a white 'needle' with a lumed circle near the tip.

The large stainless steel case has a highly-polished finish to the sides, and a satin-brushed finish to the upper surfaces.

The Bidirectional steel bezel has medium resistance and turns smoothly with sixty ratcheted 'clicks'. The Bezel has been fitted with a standout ceramic 'Submariner' Bezel Insert - also in green, printed with elapsed-time markings, and with a very unusual and effective luminous treatment.

The manufacturer wording on the caseback reads as follows: "Seiko, Stainless Steel, 7002-7001 A1, Scuba Diver's, 540555, JAPAN, A, Lightning Flash Symbol" plus the Seiko Wave logo in the center.

The movement is the Seiko 7002A 17 Jewel Automatic movement.

The 7002 model comes in additional colors too:

Orange.

Yellow.

The width without the crown is 42mm (46.1mm including crown), Lug to Lug - 45.4mm, depth 13.1mm. Weight total 100 grams.

Seiko Ceramic Mickey Mouse Watch 6309

(see a larger picture here)

The Seiko 6309 model is similar to the 7002 model with respect to basic features. The look, though is all its own, including a different design depiction of Mickey Mouse.

The person selling this watch had upgraded the luminous treatment to make it really pop at night. And it certainly does.
